2007 Soaring Eagle Challenge Race Flyer

Itascatur is also a sponsor of the early season ski race:

Soaring Eagle New Years Challenge held on December 31st 2007

A low key family friendly event with a kids 1/2 km or 2km distance tour and 7.5 km or 18 km race.

Itascatur has built and maintains the Soaring Eagle Ski trails.

This is a Minnesota Grant-in-aid trail system and requires a Minnesota Ski Pass.

13km of  marked,  groomed trails through balsam pines and spruce.

All trails are groomed classical and skate with Lake loop being designated classic only.

Trails are groomed every Friday and after any 2+ in snowfall.

The Itascatur club volunteers built a beautiful warming house in 2003 and it is open during the ski season.

Trails are located 6 miles north of Park Rapids Minnesota on Hwy 71 across from Eagle View Golf course.

Volunteers get together in the fall to clear and mow the trails in preparation for the up coming ski season.
