Soaring Eagle ski trails are located 6 miles north of Park Rapids on Hwy 71, across from the Soaring Eagle golf course. Itascatur has built and maintains the Soaring Eagle ski trails. This is a Minnesota Grant-in-aid trail system and requires a Minnesota Ski Pass. The ski center consists of 13 km of marked and groomed trails through balsam pines and spruce. All trails are groomed classical and skate, with Lake Loop being designated classical only. Trails are groomed every Friday and after any 2+" on snowfall. The Itascatur club volunteers built a beautiful warming house in 2003 and it is open during the ski season. Volunteers get together in the fall to clear and mow the trails in preparation for the up coming ski season.
